BUMN Bakti Volunteers Batch VI – Subang carried out an education care action by renovating schools, playing while learning, giving anti-bullying seminars and educational facilities. The second day’s activities were held in several locations in Subang Regency, West Java, on Friday, August 16, 2024.
Aulia Fahriza, one of the volunteers from PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur, said that this education care activity was very good. She and nine other fellow volunteers had the opportunity to collaborate in mutual cooperation to renovate the school at SDN Sumurbarang, Cibogo, Subang.
“We also had time to play while learning with the children of SDN Sumurbarang. We could see the beautiful smiles and laughter of the future generation of Indonesia. Hopefully, our presence can bring new dreams to the children of SDN Sumurbarang, so that when they grow up, they will also be inspired to work for Indonesia by working at the State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs),” said Miss Fahriza.
Miss Fahriza also expressed her gratitude for the opportunity given by the Ministry of SOEs allowing she and other volunteers to organize an anti-bullying seminar. She conveyed that bullying is a major threat to Indonesia Emas 2045, that bullying will only cause problems for the young generation’s mentality. Therefore, she emphasized that it is time to stop all types of bullying.
This was also supported by Michael Rivaldi Mewengkang, a volunteer from PT BNI, Rivaldi explained that bullying not only has a bad impact on the victim, but also brings problems for the perpetrator and the community. For the victim, it has the potential to experience mental problems such as depression and loss of self-esteem.
For the perpetrator, bullying potentially makes the perpetrator an aggressive person until adulthood, and of course has the potential to face legal and social problems. Miss Fahriza emphasized that in order to realize the New Archipelago of Advanced Indonesia, every element of society must be aware of bullying from an early age to make sure that next generation can grow up with a healthy mentality and be ready to collaborate with anyone.
“As the young generation of SOEs we are concerned about the bullying practices that still occur in Indonesia. Hopefully this seminar can be one of our active steps to prevent bullying from happening again,” said Miss Fahriza.
The educational care action of the BUMN Bakti Volunteers Chapter VI – Subang supported by DEFEND ID, LEN, PINDAD and DAHANA, was then finalized with the handover of educational facility charity to SMKN Cibogo.
