PT DAHANA (Persero) is giving an In-House Training (IHT) program on First Aid for Accident Casualties DAHANA Classroom in Subang, West Java, on January 21, 23, and 30, 2025. This training aims to enhance employees’ abilities to respond effectively to emergency situations, particularly work-related accidents, as part of the company’s commitment to occupational safety and health.

The event was inaugurated by Teja Sukmara, Acting VP of EMC DAHANA, who stated that this IHT was part of PT DAHANA’s observance of National OSH Month. He emphasized the significance of the training in fostering a safer work environment.

“First aid is a crucial step that can save lives. We hope that by participating in this training, every employee will be prepared to act quickly and appropriately in emergency situations,” Mr Sukmara mentioned in his opening speech.

The training featured two experienced speakers from Subang Regency Red Cross. Asep Sugandi, SE, the Head of Human Resource Development, delivered a session on the Introduction to First Aid. In this portion, participants learned about the Emergency Service System, definitions, roles, and objectives of first aid, as well as information about Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and first aid supplies.

The second session enjoyed the contribution of Dr. H. Mugia Nugraha, MM, the Head of Social Services and Public Health who outlined the basics of Basic Life Support (BLS), teaching participants how to identify injuries, treat wounds, and stabilize patients before they receive further medical assistance. Participants were also trained in proper cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques and participated in simulations for handling respiratory arrest.

Employees from Subang displayed high enthusiasm throughout the training as the training content was not only theoretical but also included practical simulations, aimed at boosting participants’ confidence in managing emergency situations.

“This activity reflects DAHANA’s commitment to fostering a safe and proactive work culture in response to the risks of workplace accidents. With this training, DAHANA employees are expected to provide optimal first aid responses in the workplace, and we hope it will also benefit them outside of work,” concluded Mr Sukmara.
