PT DAHANA (Persero)’s Al-Akhdar Mosque Council has again distributed Al-Quran charity to students in several Islamic boarding schools in the South Subang area. This time, the Al-Quran charity collected from the explosive manufacturer SOE employees was handed over to Al-Istiqomah Islamic Boarding School in Cisalak, Subang Regency. Submission of Al-Quran charity was done by Advisor Y. Agus Setiawan who was accompanied by the Head of Al Akhdar Mosque Council Anwar Sanusi to the Head of the Distribution Section of the National Zakat Agency (Baznas) Subang Regency Asep Alansyah on April 12, 2021.
The charity delivery of the Al-Quran is a continuation of the Thousand Al-Quran Waqf program promoted by Al-Akhdar Mosque Council from January 25, 2021 to March 31, 2021. Y. Agus Setiawan said, out of the 1,030 Al-Qurans that were collected in the Thousand Al-Quran Waqf program, 559 Al-Quran were distributed to mosques and Islamic schools in North Subang area, meanwhile 455 Al-Qurans were conveyed to Islamic boarding schools in the South Subang area, and 16 Al-Qurans were handed over to Madrasah Diniyah Awaliyah Al-Lanah in Cinangsi. “Thank you to the waqf providers who have set aside a portion of their sustenance to participate in the Thousand Al-Quran Waqf program. It is our hope that it will become a charity and benefit to the people, ” said Agus.
A similar gratitude was expressed by the Head of Distribution of the National Zakat Agency (Baznas) Subang Regency Asep Alansyah. He was very grateful to the congregation of the Al-Akhdar mosque for the Al-Quran waqf he had received.
“God willing, 455 Al-Qurans received will be distributed to 20 Islamic boarding schools the southern Subang area,” said Asep.
