The 2023 DAHANA Singing Competition event has reached its peak. Bertha Sihombing from SMAN 3 Subang was crowned as Champion. Miss Sihombing performed stunningly singing the mandatory song Sang Dewi and elected song My Heart will Go On, surpassing the other contestants in the Spectacular Show round which was held on 19 October 2023, at the DAHANA Campus Auditorium, Subang.
Ahyanizzaman, DAHANA’s Director of Finance, Risk Management and Human Resources, said in his speech that the 2023 DAHANA Singing Competition activity was part of a series of activities commemorating DAHANA’s 57th. The competition was dedicated by the company to the young generation who are high school students of Subang regency.
“We want to bring happiness to the commemoration of DAHANA’s 57th anniversary to the community, especially Subang Regency. Yesterday we held competitions among pre-school students, provided health assistance, and planted trees. Today’s event is dedicated to the young generation of Subang which are high school students, ” said Mr Ahyanizzaman.
The Spectacular Show round is hosted by Deputy I of Mojang Subang Zolla Sherin Adrea. The contestants were assessed by a jury consisting of Ida Erlinda as Head of Destinations and Tourism Products at the District Tourism, Youth and Sports Office, Subang; Firna Firsha; Vocalist of Mystic Band; Elis Juitasari, Art Teacher at SMPN 3 Subang; and Muhammad Ridlan Akbar, Millennial Music Activist in Subang regency.
The Spectacular Show round was very interesting in which each contestant showcased their unique voice which made it difficult for the jury to make judgement. This also proved that Subang has a handful of singing talents. Subang’s young people just need lots of platforms such as the DAHANA Singing Competition 2023.
Mr Ahyanizzaman hoped that, through the DAHANA Singing Competition 2023, Subang can find more singing talents that will go further beyond this event; they should move forward to bigger talent search events such as singing competitions at national and even international levels.
