PT DAHANA held a Kick-off Meeting on Internal Audit of the Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP). This internal audit is in preparation for the recertification of DAHANA SMAP Certificate audit which was due on 4 October 2023. The meeting was opened by DAHANA’s Director of Operations, Yusep Nugraha, via a zoom meeting broadcast on Wednesday, 4 October 2023.
Mr Nugraha explained that implementation of SMAP at DAHANA was the Company’s commitment to maintaining Good Corporate Governance and complying with the regulations set by the regulator. PT DAHANA’s SMAP is a directive from the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) through the Circular Letter of the Minister of SOES No.S-35/MBU/02/2020, dated 10 January 2020 on the Implementation of an Anti-Bribery Management System in SOEs as Implementation of Presidential Regulation Number 54 of 2018 on the National Strategy for Corruption Prevention
“We hope that this audit runs well to ensure better implementation of SMAP at DAHANA. Internal and independent audits were carried out to test the implementation of SMAP which has been ongoing since October 2020. Hopefully this internal audit can also support our audit staff to become more competent,” Mr Nugraha said.
Mr Nugraha added that ISO 37001:2016 certification is an important step that must be implemented. Implementation of such system will prevent and minimize corruption issues and problem in hoping that corruption can be reduced or even eliminated.
Meanwhile, DAHANA’s SM Legal and Corporate Communications, Juli Jajuli as deputy head of DAHANA’s Anti-Bribery Compliance Function (FKAP) said that DAHANA’s SMAP Certification was valid from 5 October 2020 to 4 October 2023. Before recertification was carried out, the Company had conducted an internal audit in preparation for recertification.
“Prior to recertification, we first conducted an internal audit of the SMAP on 5 and 6 October 2023 as a reminder for DAHANA personnel to continue implementing the SMAP,” said Mr Jajuli.
Before the Kick-off Meeting, FKAP had carried out various recertification preparations such as the issuance of an FKAP Team Order, FKAP Initial Meeting, SMAP In-house Training. In addition to that, FKAP is currently undergoing a collaboration process with Sucofindo regarding SMAP audit services in parallel with DAHANA’s document readiness as a prerequisite for the SMAP recertification audit.
