Located at the Subang Regency Hall, on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, Subang Regent H. Ruhimat signed the minutes of handover of CSR assistance in the form of provision of handwashing facilities (portable sinks) with several companies in the Subang Regency, including PT DAHANA (Persero), the SOE engaged in explosives industry.
PT DAHANA (Persero), as a state-owned company headquartered in Subang Regency, had previously installed hand washing facilities in the Subang Food Court Market in accordance with the directives of the Subang Regency Government. Apart from that, DAHANA also provided assistance in the form of several types of PPE for medical officers to the Cibogo Health Center and Ciereng Subang District Hospital.
The signing of the minutes commenced with a report from the Secretary of Subang Regency, Drs. H. Aminudin., M.Sc. According to Aminudin, up to the current time, there are 14 portable sink points installed, and as of the target until Saturday (11/04) it is expected there will be an additional installation of 9 sinks so that the total will be 23 points.
“In the the following weeks, another 25 points will be installed, scattered in several public facilities that become priority points such as traditional markets. This is due to the fact that the market is one of the public facilities and centers of economic circulation where vendors and buyers interact with one another; therefore it is necessary to install adequate and proper hand washing facilities in these locations, “Aminudin said in his report.
Meanwhile, in his speech, the Regent of Subang, H. Ruhimat expressed his gratitude to several companies who through their CSR funding schemes have already procured and installed portable sinks which are in a great need in several priority points in Subang Regency.
“Prevention of the spread of Covid-19 especially in Subang Regency is a shared responsibility of all of us, both the Subang Regency government, companies, and the community in general. One of the Covid-19 prevention protocols requires that we wash our hand thoroughly; therefore I would like to express my gratitude to company parties involved in the procurement of hand washing facilities through its CSR funding, “explained H. Ruhimat.
In addition to requirement of hand washing facilities in several public facilities which are priority points, currently Subang Regency is alsi in need of around 1.5 million masks. Therefore, H. Ruhimat appealed that he would appreciate if companies assist in the procurement of such immediate needs.
“It is my hope that all the assistance delivered by the company can be useful especially for the Subang community,” said H. Ruhimat.
After the signing of the official report, PT DAHANA (Persero) Public Relations and Institution Manager Juli Jajuli explained that PT DAHANA (Persero) had committed to taking an active part in preventing the current spread of Covid-19.
“Prevention efforts are not only carried out in the corporate environment by forming the Covid-19 prevention task force following the enforcement of the protocol, DAHANA also provides assistance to the surrounding community with some forms of assistance. It is our hope that this contribution helps in suppressing the spread of covid-19 in Subang in particular,” said Juli Jajuli. (rmt)
