SUBANG – PT DAHANA delivered emergency assistance to the Subang flood casualties. The supplies were handed over directly by the Head of Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) Unit Eman Suherman to Carsim, the neighbourhood chief of RT 09 in Krajan, Anggasari village, Subang, on Monday, 13 February 2023.

Heavy downpour has hit Subang area since Saturday 11 February 2023, causing the Cigadung River and Cipunegara River to overflow and submerge several villages. The water level that reached 25 to 65 cm resulted in the resident’s losses of up to hundreds of millions of rupiah.

Mr Suherman that, as a company that cares about the surrounding community, DAHANA supplied emergency aid to the Subang flood casualties at the shelter. Supplies consisted of medicines, basic necessities and toddler equipment. He hoped that DAHANA’s assistance can help ease the suffering of the flood victims.

“The supplies are a form of the Company’s concern for the surrounding community, especially the casualties of the Subang flood. “Hopefully the supply can ease the burden on our fellow citizens affected by the flood disaster. We also hope that the flood will recede quickly, and residents can go back to their normal activities,” said Mr Suherman.

To the moment, the flood casualties have been evacuated to a makeshift shelter under the Pamanukan Fly Over. The local government has stepped in by sending Community Health Center officers to check the health condition of the casualties at the shelter. The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Subang Regency was seen to accompany the casualties.

Meanwhile, Mr Carsim expressed his gratitude to DAHANA for the supplies. He also hoped that this annual flood can be handled properly, so residents can do their activities in peace without having to be shrouded in fear of flooding that hits every rainy season.

“We, the residents of Anggasari, express our sincerest gratitude to PT DAHANA, which has moved quickly to provide the assistance needed by the residents. Hopefully DAHANA will progress and develop,” said Mr Carsim.
