Students from the Kopassus Special Forces Training Center (Pusdiklatpassus) recently conducted a study visit to PT Dahana to enhance their theoretical and practical understanding of high-energy materials science. The 23 Kopassus students were warmly welcomed by Moch. Surya Nugraha, the General Manager of Development and Information Technology, at the Dahana Campus in Subang, West Java, on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
In his remarks, Mr Nugraha emphasized that this activity exemplifies the ongoing collaboration and synergy between PT Dahana, a leading explosives manufacturer, and the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the key users of explosives in national defense and security.
“We are honored to play a crucial role in the education and training of Kopassus specialist soldiers who are responsible for safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty. This partnership underscores our commitment not only to providing high-quality products but also to serving as a learning platform for everyone, including the Indonesia’s Armed Forces, our primary user,” said Surya.
PT Dahana has long been recognized as a pioneer in Indonesia’s explosives industry, serving various commercial sectors such as mining, quarrying, construction, and oil and gas, while also being a major supplier of explosives for military and defense needs. Dahana’s EMC facility is renowned as the most comprehensive explosives facility in Southeast Asia.
In the defense sector, Dahana has produced an array of superior explosives, including the P Live Series Bombs and explosives for Defense Rockets. The company is also currently developing various military explosives projects. Dahana’s capabilities position it as a strategic partner for the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) in modernizing defense equipment in the field of energetic materials.
Meanwhile, Captain Czi Eko Setiawan W., Commander of the Demolition Specialization Student Unit (Dansatsis), expressed deep appreciation for the opportunity provided by PT Dahana for conducting comparative studies and acquiring first-hand knowledge at the national explosives innovation center.
“This study visit is essential, as it directly complements the theoretical knowledge we have gained at our educational institution. Observing the production process and technological innovations first-hand, while learning from Dahana’s experts, provides invaluable new perspectives,” said Captain Setiawan.
After a comprehensive interactive discussion led by Dahana’s expert team, the Kopassus group proceeded with a tour of the Ring I production facility. This field visit offered a detailed overview of Dahana’s workflow, safety standards, and cutting-edge technology.
