Dahana held a ceremony to commemorate the 77th National Defense Day (HBN) at the Dahana Driving Range on Friday, December 19, 2025. The event was attended by management and employees as a demonstration of the company’s commitment to strengthening love for the nation and the spirit of patriotism in the workplace.

Dahana’s Director of Technology and Development, Yusep Nugraha Rubani, acted as the ceremony inspector. He read out a written message from the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, emphasizing the importance of maintaining national unity amidst the dynamics of the times.

“This year’s National Defense Day commemoration carries the theme: ‘Strengthen National Defense for a Progressive Indonesia.’ The theme serves a reminder that national progress can only be achieved if all citizens possess the readiness, discipline, and resilience to face the various challenges of the times,” Mr Rubani quoted the President’s address.

The address explained that every December 19th , the Indonesian people commemorate the historic establishment of the Emergency Government of the Republic of Indonesia (PDRI) in Bukittinggi in 1948. This momentum is an evidence that the spirit of national defense is capable of maintaining Indonesia’s sovereignty even in emergency situations caused by military aggression.

Apart from that, the address outlined current challenges, which are no longer merely conventional, but also include cyber warfare, radical movements, and technological and information disruption. In this uncertain situation, the spirit of national defense must be a collective strength for all citizens to face geopolitical rivalries and various global crises.

The President also highlighted issues on national solidarity for the people of Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra, who are currently being tested by natural disasters, given the historical role of these regions as foundations for the struggle for independence. The steadfastness of these regions in the past, such as Aceh as the “Capital Region” and West Sumatra as the birthplace of the PDRI, serves as a reminder that unity is the nation’s greatest strength.

Concluding the reading of his address, Mr Rubani reiterated the President’s message that every individual should be able to implement the values of national defense through concrete actions in their respective fields. This includes contributing to development and strengthening economic resilience at the grassroots level.

“Let us together strengthen our resolve: For a strong Indonesia, a progressive Indonesia, and an Indonesia that is always able to rise to face every challenge. May God Almighty always provide strength, protection, and guidance to us all,” Mr Rubani concluded.
