On Wednesday, July 30, 2025, DAHANA, through its Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) unit, provided business assistance in the form of screen printing equipment to Jahidin, a person with a disability who operates a home-based screen printing business in Pusakaratu Village, Pusakanagara District, Subang Regency, West Java.
This initiative is part of DAHANA’s commitment to enhancing economic opportunities for the community, particularly for vulnerable groups such as individuals with disabilities.
Neni Sumarni, the DAHANA’s SER Manager, representing the management, stated that this support aims to provide equal access and promote the sustainability of businesses for individuals with disabilities.
“One of the key focuses of our SER program is community capacity building. We hope this assistance strengthens Mr. Jahidin’s home business and encourages the productivity and sustainability of similar businesses operated by individuals with disabilities in the area,” said Ms Sumarni
She also highlighted that this program aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8, which focuses on Decent Work and Economic Growth.
“We believe economic growth should be inclusive, benefiting all community members, including those with disabilities,” she added. “We hope this assistance improves the welfare of Mr Jahidin and his family. Mr Jahidin expressed his gratitude for the support from Mr DAHANA, commenting that the screen printing equipment was essential for improving both the quality and production capacity of his business.
