Dahana recently conducted its 2025 Emergency Response Simulation to assess the preparedness of all employees for emergency situations. The event, attended by Subang employees, vendors, and guests, took place at Dahana’s Central Management Office in Subang on Wednesday, December 24, 2025.
Dewi Kurniaty, PT Dahana’s General Manager of K3LH, stated that the simulation is part of the company’s efforts to mitigate risks in the workplace. She emphasized that Dahana’s status as a National Vital Object (Obvitnas) requires exceptionally high safety standards. Thus, routine readiness for various emergency scenarios is essential.
“The main objective of this emergency response simulation is to evaluate the preparedness of all personnel and to train them to respond quickly and appropriately according to established procedures,” said Ms Kurniaty. “We aim to ensure the optimal effectiveness of the evacuation system and routes while continuously improving employee coordination and awareness in dealing with emergencies that can arise at any time.”
The simulation was designed comprehensively to encompass the entire Dahana area, including the office space, explosives factory, laboratory, and warehouse. Echelon 1 officials directly monitored the simulation to ensure preparedness among employees across all divisions.
During the exercise, the early warning system was activated simultaneously to gauge response times for personnel evacuations from work locations to designated assembly points. Employees followed instructions enthusiastically and executed each step thoroughly.
Ms Kurniaty also praised the discipline demonstrated by all participants during the simulation. She noted that a comprehensive evaluation would be conducted after the event to address any shortcomings identified.
“We hope that this simulation helps all Dahana employees and visitors become better trained and have the right reflexes so that they do not panic in real emergency situations. Safety is a shared responsibility, and through thorough preparation, we can create a safe work environment and support the company’s sustainability,” she concluded.
