PT Dahana’s First Blast at the Buton Quarry Marks a Strategic Step Toward “Sixty to Infinity”

PT Dahana officially conducted the first blast for its Quarry Management project at the PT Bukit Gamping Resources site in Buton, Southeast Sulawesi, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. This moment serves as a significant milestone marking the start of project operations and symbolizes the success of a long journey that began in 2024.

PT Dahana’s Director of Operations, Abdul Haris Atbaro, stated in his report that this first blast is not merely a technical achievement but the result of an extensive process involving permitting, the issuance of the Mining Business License (IUP) for Production Operations in early 2025, and the 2026 Work Plan and Budget (RKAB) approved last March.

“This success stems from the team’s perseverance, patience, and commitment. PT Dahana acts not merely as a contractor but as a strategic partner managing an integrated process from land clearing to barging,” Haris explained.

PT Dahana’s President Director, Hary Irmawan, noted that this project serves as a pioneer in the company’s new business line: Quarry Management.

“This is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen upstream capabilities and solidify supply chain integration, in line with PT Dahana’s business transformation, to improve operational efficiency and create sustainable added value,” said Hary.

Wildan Widarman, a commissioner at PT Dahana, emphasized the importance of implementing good mining practices, workplace safety, and sustainable mining governance to ensure long-term success.

On behalf of the partner, Heru Hendarto, President Director of PT Bukit Gamping Resources, expressed appreciation for the performance of the PT Dahana team.
