Energetic Material Center activity covers the fields of design and

Engineering of Explosives Compositions, ANFO Mixer and ANFO Truck, Emulsion Process System as well as Mobile Manufacturing Truck and Explosives Consultation.

EXPLOSIVES COMPOSITION

This activity focuses on design and engineering of explosives composition, especially water based emulsion. The aim of the activity is to produce explosives compositions with better performance and safety to support efficient and effective operations.

ANFO MIXER AND ANFO TRUCK

Our ANFO Technology started in 1992 with the implementation of DAHANA’s own design and engineering of ANFO Production facility in Tasikmalaya and Subang with a capacity of 7,500 Mton/ Shift/Year.

Based on that, further development resulted in the design of portable and permanent Continuous ANFO Mixer System with capacities of 4 Ton/hour to 8 Ton/hour.

To serve large blasting customers where the explosives loading time becomes a decisive matter, the Energetic Material Center offers design and engineering of ANFO Truck with various capacities from 4 Ton – 8 Ton.

ANFO Truck is also equipped with Loading Control System to increase the field operational effectiveness. Several types and makes of 4×4 or 6×4 trucks are available by request.

EMULSION PROCESS SYSTEM

Continuing the success of the technology transfer of Emulsion licensed products, DAHANA has extended the capabilities by developing On Site Plant which had been successfully operating at more than 8 jobsites, from Karimun to the Continuous OSP at Adaro.

Mobile Manufacturing Truck (MMT)

The increase of Bulk Emulsion explosives consumption will increase the demand of Bulk Emulsion Explosives whisch will also increase the demand of Explosives Processing and Delivery Equipments.

Starting with the experiences of developing MMT for Karimun Project, the Energetic Material Center has recently developed the capability to provide customers with the Research and Engineering of Mobile Manufacturing Unit with various design capacities of 2 up to 20 ton. The MMT units produced by PT DAHANA (Persero) have been tested and proven to operate under tropical climate conditions where ambient temperature and extreme humidity have great impacts on the operation of the equipments.

The main driving power of screw conveyor and all pumping systems are designed to operate using Hydraulic packs to achieve high flexibility in the operation and maintenance.

Loading Control System is adopted to the MMT to increase the operational effectiveness of the MMT. Several types and makes of 4×4 or 6×6 trucks are available by request.

EXPLOSIVE CONSULTING

The Energetic Material Center also provides general consultation on the explosives fields covering explosives technology and applications, product knowledge information, blasting technology and also explosives demolition

SAFETY THROUGH DESIGN

To ensure the product output of Our Engineering Center meets the safety requirements, a HAZOP STUDY is carried out on every stage of the design planning to the trial run of the equipments.
