Republic of Indonesia’ Ministry of State-owned Enterprises (SOEs) once again held a socialization on SOEs Holding. This time dozens of participants who are SOEs commissioners and directors and members of the National Defense and High Technology Industries (NDHI) cluster listened to the exposure of policy makers in 21st floor of the Ministry of SOEs Office Building in Jakarta, 2 September 2019.

The remarks were given by PISM Deputy of the Ministry of SOEs F. Harry Sampurno, who talked about the history of the Strategic Industrial SOEs from time to time, as well as benchmarking with foreign holding companies.

NDHI holding is actually not new to the company. In 1989, 10 Strategic Industrial Companies including PT INKA (railroad), PT Dahana (explosives), PT Len Industri (electronics and telecommunications), PT Boma Bisma Indra (industrial equipment), PT Barata Indonesia (heavy equipment), PT IPTN , PT Krakatau Steel, PT PAL, and PT Pindad (weaponry) were once under the cluster called the Strategic Industry Management Agency (BPIS).

During its golden age, the products of companies incorporated in BPIS became showcases of Indonesia's technological progress to the world. However the current economic and political situation forced BPIS to dissolve and now the great history will be re-lived together by seven companies that will become NDHI holding.

Owing to a variety of experiences, it will be easier to implement NDHI Holding. Synergy among strategic sector companies is often carried out, starting from joint marketing in various exhibition events, to the General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) together. Now seven companies consisting of PT DAHANA (Persero), PT PINDAD (Persero), PT Dirgantara Indonesia (Persero), PT INTI (Persero), PT PAL Indonesia (Persero), PT INUKI (Persero), and PT Len Industri (Persero) ) are ready to severally advance Indonesia's Strategic Industry.

As stated by the Deputy for Energy, Logistics, Regions and Tourism of the Ministry of SOEs, Edwin Hidayat Abdullah, NDHI Holding is a process of improvement with the related companies to move forward together.

"It is also intended to obtain a stronger endorsement from the external parties," he said.

Also attending were DAHANA, President Director Budi Antono, Director of Technology and Development Wildan Widarman, Director of Finance and HR Asmorohadi, Director of Operations Bambang Agung, along with the board of commissioners, Rina Moreta, Rizky Ferianto, and Mustar Bona Ventura. DAHANA's President Commissioner was unable to attend because he had another activity.
