PT DAHANA recently held the MAGRIB (Free Fast-Breaking Food) program, distributing takjil (traditional snacks) to the community surrounding the company. The event took place on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, with participation from the Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) Unit and DAHANA’s young employees at various busy locations in Subang.
Eman Suherman, Head of DAHANA’s SER unit TJSL, stated that the distribution of takjil during the holy month of Ramadan reflects the company’s commitment to the local community. The event aims to spread joy among those who are fasting, ease the burden of preparing for iftar (breaking fast), and strengthen the social bonds between the company and the community.
“Sharing takjil during Ramadan has become a routine initiative for DAHANA employees, demonstrating our concern for the community. We hope this program provides benefits to those receiving it as well as to the employees involved in the process. May this Ramadan bring blessings to us all,” Mr Suherman expressed.
He also noted that the iftar food distributed to the community is sourced from local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). This approach not only benefits those receiving takjil but also supports MSME owners by promoting their products.
The DAHANA MAGRIB program is part of the broader 2025 Ramadhan Harmony initiatives, which include activities such as the Bright Mosque program, assistance for mosque caretakers and administrators, repairs to mosque facilities, improvements to orphanage facilities, aid for orphans, and free homecoming services.
The Company also engages its younger employees in the MAGRIB program by allowing them to participate in the takjil distribution. Mr Suherman emphasized the importance of instilling values such as cooperation, collaboration, and community care in DAHANA’s young generation—values that have been passed down through generations within the company.
“As a state-owned enterprise (SOEs) that upholds the core values of AKHLAK, this activity is an opportunity to instill these values in DAHANA’s young generation by involving them directly. We hope that DAHANA will always cultivate employees with a strong social spirit, ready to collaborate with others to advance the surrounding community,” Mr Suherman concluded.
