Dahana held a ceremony to commemorate the 97TH Youth Pledge Day in 2025 at the Dahana Driving Range in Subang, West Java, on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. The event was attended by all Dahana employees, including the board of directors, management, and staff, creating a solemn atmosphere filled with national spirit.
The President Director of Dahana, Hary Irmawan, led the ceremony and read the official address from the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia, Erick Thohir. Themed “Youth on the Move, Indonesia United,” the Minister’s speech highlighted the importance of the spirit of the 1928 youth struggle as the foundation of the nation, emphasizing that it must be maintained and revitalized amid the challenges of the modern era.
“The youth of the past were brave enough to swear an oath and kept it with their lives and blood. Today, our task is different; we are no longer lifting sharpened bamboo poles, but raising knowledge, hard work, and honesty,” stated Mr Irmawan while reading out the Minister’s message.
The speech also underscored that today’s young generation will shape the future of history. They are encouraged to dream big and remain undaunted by failure. The core values of patriotism, tenacity, and empathy must be embodied in every step of Indonesian youth.
Following the ceremony, Mr Irmawan expressed that the spirit of the Youth Pledge holds significant importance for Dahana, especially in developing superior human resources within the defense industry. He noted that Dahana continually strives to create opportunities for the younger generation to actualize their potential, enabling them to become innovators and future leaders.
“Dahana believes that the future of the national defense industry lies in the hands of a young generation characterized by intelligence, integrity, and a collaborative spirit. Therefore, we provide them with opportunities to grow and contribute meaningfully. As the Minister of Youth and Sports said, let’s keep the flame of this struggle alive and demonstrate that Indonesia is a great nation,” Mr Irmawan said.
In alignment with this spirit, Dahana actively promotes competency development through technical, leadership, and innovation training programs. Creative ideas from young employees have driven breakthroughs in explosives technology and improved production efficiency, positively impacting the Company’s performance.
