During the visit, Air Marshal Dharmawan expressed his appreciation for PT Dahana, stating that it is a national company equipped with comprehensive facilities to develop defense equipment, particularly in energetic materials.

“Dahana has significant potential to accelerate the independence of our national defense equipment. The innovation and commitment demonstrated here will greatly support the combat readiness of the Indonesian Air Force. I hope that the development of the BNT 250 bomb, in collaboration with Dahana and Sari Bahari, proceeds smoothly,” he stated.

The group also observed the assembly of the BNT 250 bomb in Ring 1 of Dahana’s Energetic Material Center (EMC), where they witnessed experts conducting the assembly process while adhering to high safety and quality standards.

Mr Irmawan emphasized PT Dahana’s strong commitment to achieving Indonesia’s defense equipment independence to reduce reliance on foreign products and strengthen the nation’s defense capabilities. He highlighted the long-standing relationship between PT Dahana and the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU), which dates back to the company’s inception as a part of the Air Force. Additionally, Dahana is actively involved in meeting the explosive needs of the TNI AU’s Sukhoi aircraft by producing the P Series Live Bomb.

“We will continue our research and innovation to produce effective, efficient, precise, and high-powered aerial bombs. We share the same hope that the BNT 250 bomb will be developed smoothly and that we can expand our collaboration on other explosive products required by the Indonesian Air Force for its operations,” Mr Irmawan stated.

At the end of the visit, Mr Irmawan expressed his gratitude to the TNI AU for entrusting PT Dahana with the BNT 250 Research and Development Program. He assured that his company would make every effort to ensure the smooth, safe, and expected production of the BNT 250.
