On November 8, 2024, PT DAHANA held a General Safety Briefing for its production employees at the Non-Electric Detonator production facility located in Subang, West Java. The briefing was led by Teja Sukmara, Acting VP of DAHANA’s Energetic Material Center (EMC), to effectively convey essential safety information.
Shahibuddin Ma’ruf, DAHANA’s Senior Production Manager, emphasized that the explosives production process involves a high level of risk. Therefore, the General Safety Briefing aimed to ensure that the production activities can be carried out safely and to maintain a record of zero workplace accidents.
“Hopefully, the material presented during the General Safety Briefing can be applied in the workplace by each production employee. Given the high risks associated with explosive production, we plan to conduct these briefings regularly every month,” Mr Ma’ruf noted.
Within the Energetic Material Center area, DAHANA has established various blasting facilities, including explosives factories, Bonded Logistics Centers, Central Management Offices, and other important facilities., Mr Ma’rud stressed the importance of maintaining constant vigilance against dangers, particularly during the production process despite the fact that this area holds the status of a National Vital Object with multi-layered protection

Mr Sukmara hoped that all General Safety Briefing participants would attentively follow the instructions regarding recognition of potential hazards in the workplace and the procedures for hazard control at DAHANA.
“During this session, we were discussing hazard control in the workplace, identifying various types of hazards and how employees can effectively manage them. We aim to enhance employee awareness of occupational health and safety through this activity,” concluded Mr Sukmara.
