On Friday, July 18, 2025, PT Dahana, in collaboration with PT Len Industri (Persero), PT Dirgantara Indonesia, and PT Pindad—members of the Defense Industry Holding DEFEND ID—inaugurated newly renovated classrooms for Danumaya Elementary School in Sadawarna Village, Cibogo District, Subang Regency. This initiative is part of DEFEND ID’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) Program, which emphasizes education.

The renovated classrooms are now equipped with various learning support facilities designed to create a safe, comfortable, and child-friendly learning environment. This program reflects the defense industry’s commitment to advancing educational opportunities.

Erwin Cipta Mulyana, General Manager and Corporate Secretary of PT Dahana, stated that these classrooms are intended to be nurturing spaces for the nation’s future generations.

“This initiative symbolizes the defense industry’s dedication to the nation’s future. We hope these classrooms inspire an enjoyable and motivating atmosphere for students,” said Mr Mulyana

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dra. Nunung Suryani, M.Si., Head of the Subang Regency Education Service Office, who expressed her gratitude for DEFEND ID’s contribution. She mentioned that the collaboration in building educational facilities should serve as a model for other companies in Subang Regency.

PT Dahana, which is active in the Subang area, is committed to developing alongside the community through various community service programs (SER), which focus on education, health, the environment, empowering vulnerable groups, and enhancing the local economy.

Neni Sumarni, the Community Service (SER) Manager at PT Dahana, said that this project involved active collaboration among DEFEND ID members. Three classrooms were completely renovated and equipped with resources to aid the students’ learning process.

“Quality classrooms are essential for fostering children’s enthusiasm for learning. This is a long-term investment aimed at creating an intelligent and competitive next generation,” said Ms Sumarni.

During the inauguration, DEFEND ID also organized a “DEFEND ID Mengajar” program, where volunteers from PT Dahana engaged students in interactive learning through play. The students participated enthusiastically in various educational games alongside their teachers.

This initiative underscores DEFEND ID’s commitment to building the nation’s future through education and strengthening the relationship between the defense industry and the surrounding community.
