Jakarta, June 10, 2025 – DEFEND ID, the Defense Industry State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Holding, which includes PT Len Industri (Persero) as the parent company along with four strategic entities—PT Pindad, PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI), PT PAL Indonesia, and PT Dahana—will participate in the Indo Defence 2024 Expo & Forum from June 11 to June 14, 2025. The DEFEND ID booth will be located in Hall A279.

The event was officially inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. Under the theme of “Strong, Independent, Competitive,” DEFEND ID’s participation exemplifies its commitment to enhancing national defense independence and fostering collaboration with global partners through technology transfer and joint development, thereby increasing the competitiveness of the Indonesian defense industry.

The Indo Defence 2024 Expo & Forum serves as an important platform for expanding international cooperation and strengthening our presence in the domestic market,” said Prof. Joga Dharma Setiawan, Ph.D., President Director of PT Len Industri (Persero), who also serves as the President Director of DEFEND ID.

PT Len Industri (Persero) serves as a cross-platform system integrator for Main Equipment of the National Weapon System (Alutsista), employing an integrated and adaptable network-centric warfare approach to address modern threats. As part of its mission, the company showcases various advanced products, including the Len Navysys Intercom M2, NCS Link ID, CMS/FCS, SII, and IMINT, which enhance the effectiveness and interoperability of the defense system.

Among its highlights, DEFEND ID also features innovations such as the SPRINT Len electric motorbike, designed for fast, efficient, and environmentally friendly mobility that supports both military operations and civilian activities. The Electric Rickshaw, another focus area supported by Indonesian Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, embodies national resilience by combining modern technology with local wisdom to offer a sustainable urban transportation solution. Additionally, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) will be emphasized for their role in data collection and strategic monitoring, providing tactical advantages in modern operational environments.

During the exhibition, each member of DEFEND ID showcases innovations and outstanding products that demonstrate technological expertise across land, sea, and air domains. PT Pindad presents superior weaponry and ammunition systems, including the latest innovations such as the SS3-M1 assault rifle, SPS-1 anti-drone weapon, SS Amphibious, and Heavy Machine Gun (SMB) SM5-A1. The array of weapons will also feature various configurations of SS2, Sniper Rifles (SPR), Advanced Marksman Rifles (SPM/DMR), Machine Guns (SM), Grenade Launcher Rifles (SPG), SS Blackout, mortar systems, and Remote Controlled Weapon Stations (RCWS).

Furthermore, PT Pindad exhibits a range of ammunition products, including small-calibre, medium- calibre, and large-calibre options. Innovations in the ammunition category will include 40 mm AGL rounds, underwater ammunition, MK81 RI live bombs, and double-based propellants. The Indo Defence 2024 Expo & Forum will also be the venue for PT Pindad to unveil the electric 4×4 operational vehicle, Pandu, designed to support TNI operations with tactical capabilities powered by electricity (BEV – NMC battery). The vehicle utilizes a 3-in-1 Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor electric motor, enabling it to travel at a safe speed of 100 km/h with a range of up to 400 km.

PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) and its subsidiary, PT Nusantara Turbin & Propulsion (PT NTP), aim to reinforce their status as key players in the national aerospace industry. Their goal is to promote independence and sovereignty in defense technology through the development of competitive products and services based on domestic innovation. The primary focus of PTDI’s participation is to promote the commercialization of their superior products, ranging from aircraft to weapons systems.

PTDI showcases its capabilities in developing special mission platforms for CN235-220 aircraft and Bell 412 helicopters tailored for Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) operations, along with the production of Folding Fin Aerial Rocket (FFAR) and Wrap Around Fin Aerial Rocket (WAFAR). Additionally, the company will highlight its NC212i and N219 aircraft, along with the development of UAV products and other collaborative projects with both domestic and global industries.

In the static display area, PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) showcased various unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) products, including the UAV Wulung and UAV MALE. These innovations highlight the company’s capabilities in developing unmanned aerial systems for tactical reconnaissance and monitoring missions. The UAV Wulung has been in development since 2014 and received certification from the Indonesian Defense Airworthiness Authority (IDAA) in 2016. The UAV MALE was developed through a consortium involving multiple parties from various ministries, institutions, domestic industries, and educational institutions. PTDI continues to accelerate the development of both UAV products and aims to promote their use in the defense and security sectors, reinforcing its commitment to achieving independence in national defense technology.

From a maritime perspective, PT PAL Indonesia serves as a warship shipyard that excels in building ships and acting as a system integrator for platforms and Sewaco. This year, PT PAL presented several superior products, including support ships like the Landing Platform Dock (LPD) 163 and the Hospital Assistance Ship (BRS) – technological advancements derived from the LPD. In the combat ship segment, PT PAL showcased the Fast Missile Ship (KCR), various frigates, and Scorpene submarines, demonstrating exceptional technological expertise in ship construction. Beyond constructing new vessels, PT PAL manages hundreds of maintenance projects, including comprehensive overhauls of warships.

PT Dahana offers high-energy products and integrated blasting services, including Bomb P Series, RAJATA (Kamikaze Drone), BNT 250, Merapi Missile, Anti-Tank Weapon (SLT), RHAN 450 Rocket Motor, 122 Rocket Launch Vehicle, Double Base/Spherical Powder Propellant for Munitions, Dayagel Extra, Dayagel Seismic, Dayadet In-Hole Delay, Long Period, Short Period, Dayaprime Booster, Danfo, Dabex, Dawagel, Dahana Prill, and Shaped Charges.
