President Joko Widodo inaugurated the Cisumdawu (Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan) toll worth Rp18.3 trillion on July 11, 2023. The President said that this toll road is here to increase people’s economic mobility, especially as a link to Kertajati International Airport which is located in Majalengka, West Java.
In his remarks, the President hoped that with the completion of the construction of the Cisumdawu Toll Road, Kertajati Airport can fully operate in October 2023. Until now, the airport is still operating on a limited basis for Hajj embarkation flights for West Java, and several local flights.
“I see that Kertajati Airport, which is supported by the Cisumdawu Toll Road, is our future airport. There has been a growing demand from foreign countries to enter into equity as partners at Kertajati Airport, for both operating and increasing existing air traffic,” said Mr Widodo.
In as separate occasion, DAHANA’s President Director Wildan Widarman congratulated the inauguration of the Cisumdawu Toll Road. He also mentioned DAHANA’s involvement in accelerating development of the toll road, DAHANA has successfully completed the blasting contract in section 4A (STA 32+200 S.D STA 33+062.5) which stretches from Cimalaka to Legok.
“DAHANA was trusted by PT Wika as the project owner to accelerate the construction of the Cisumdawu Toll road from August 2021. The explosion in section 4A of the Cisumdawu Toll Road worked out on a volume of approximately 1.5 million bcm, with the challenges of layered materials (sand, soft soil, and massive soil) and various joints between rocks,” said Mr Widarman.
Mr Widarman added that during the process of Cisumdawu Toll Road construction, DAHANA was required to perform efficient blasts and minimize environmental impacts. Owing to DAHANA’s long experience acceleration of toll road construction such as in Aceh and the Trans Sumatra, DAHANA succeeded in handling various challenges on the Cisumdawu Toll Road.
In line with President Joko Widodo, Mr Widarman hoped that the Cisumdawu Toll Road can increase the economic mobility of residents, both flight passengers and those who will later work around Kertajati Airport. For DAHANA, this toll road is also very strategic because it is close to the company’s location in Subang.
It is our hope that with the inauguration of the Cisumdawu Toll Road, DAHANA can elevate consumer trusts in terms of drilling and blasting services in the quarry and construction sectors. Once again, congratulations on the inauguration of the Cisumdawu Toll Road. I hope this will be a blessing and benefit for the community,” concluded Mr Widarman.
