PT Dahana’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) Week series continues. On the third day, the company, known as an explosives specialist, held a Creative Jaipong Dance Competition for junior high schools across Subang Regency, which was a lively event at Bale Dahana, Subang, on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.

Dozens of junior high school students from various schools in Subang participated in the event, showcasing their creativity and enthusiasm in Jaipong dance, a traditional Sundanese art form. The event provided a platform for the younger generation to showcase their talents and foster a love for regional culture.

PT Dahana’s SER Manager, Ismail Kurbani, enthusiastically opened the event. In his remarks, he expressed his pride in the students’ enthusiasm for preserving Sundanese culture amidst the rapid flow of globalization.

“We are very proud to see the younger generation still loving traditional culture, especially Jaipong dance. Through this competition, we hope that more young people will appreciate and preserve local wisdom,” said Mr Kurbani.

According to Mr Kurbani, this activity is not just a form of entertainment, but also part of PT Dahana’s efforts to strengthen cultural values in the Subang area—where one of the national explosives company’s main facilities is located.

As a member of DEFEND ID and a state-owned enterprise engaged in explosives and integrated blasting services, PT Dahana focuses not only on business aspects but also plays an active role in the social, educational, and cultural development of the surrounding community.

Through various Community Service (SER) programs, including dance competitions, environmental education, and free medical treatment, Dahana continues to demonstrate its commitment to realizing its vision of Serving the Nation Better—serving the country better.
