Dahana demonstrated its strong commitment to sustainable corporate governance and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices by actively participating in the prestigious 10th Asia Conference on Environment and Sustainable Development (ACESD 2025) and the 2nd Asia Conference on Environmental Economics and Policy (ACEEP 2025). The conference took place at Shiiki Hall, Kyushu University (Ito Campus), Fukuoka, Japan, from November 8-10, 2025. During the event, Dahana presented a scientific paper related to its sustainability initiatives.
Mohamad Nur Sodiq, Dahana’s Director of Finance, Risk Management, and Human Resources, who led the delegation, emphasized that Dahana’s involvement in this international forum reflects the Company’s commitment to integrating ESG practices across all business operations. He stated that this is a strategic move to highlight that the company’s goals go beyond just revenue and profit, focusing instead on achieving harmony with the environment and society.
“Our presence in Fukuoka highlights that sustainable corporate governance and ESG practices are not merely obligations; they represent a harmonious collaboration that underscores our dedication to sustainability. This commitment reflects our concern for the environment and society, which are key stakeholders in Dahana’s existence,” said Mr Sodiq.
The ACESD x ACEEP 2025 Conference Program is a leading international forum in Asia, focusing on environmental issues and sustainable development. The event lasted three days, from November 8 to 10, 2025, gathering academics, researchers, and practitioners from around the globe.
Dahana delegation was led by Dahana Commissioner Wahyudi Hidayat and Mohamad Nur Sodiq. The team also included Dewi Kurniati, Danny Armeidian, and Safira Aulia Rinanda, with Sudirjo Heru presenting a scientific paper.
Dahana presented a paper titled “Building Sustainability Capacity: Linking Life Cycle Analysis with Community Empowerment in a Preliminary Initiative from Dahana, Subang, Indonesia,” with Paper ID: CE173. This presentation took place on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at approximately 5:15pm local time.
The scientific paper was the product of collaborative efforts by a team of authors: Hary Irmawan, Dewi Permatasari, Sudirjo Heru, Aep Saepudin, Ismail Kurbani, Ivan Angga Maulana, Danny Armeidian, and Safira Aulia Rinanda. It adhered to international standards and successfully passed a rigorous review process conducted by the ACESD Technical Program Committee.
Mr Sodiq expressed hope that participation in this event would enhance Dahana’s ESG implementation in the future and strengthen the company’s knowledge network on a global scale.
“We hope that through this forum, Dahana can gain insights into the latest global knowledge and establish an international collaborative network. This will serve as valuable capital for continuing to innovate in impactful community empowerment and environmental conservation programs,” he added.
The ACESD and ACEEP conferences are sponsored by iNehc and IJESD, with technical support from various renowned institutions such as Yokohama National University, the National Institute for Environmental Studies, Nagasaki University, JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency), and Kyushu University, the host organization.
Each paper presented at the conference underwent a thorough multi-layered selection and review process, starting from the initial submission in August 2025 to the final review announcement in October 2025. The review committee comprised professionals and academics from various universities worldwide, including those from Saudi Arabia, Australia, China, France, India, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Portugal, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, the UK, the USA, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
