PT DAHANA exhibited a non-electric heavy duty detonator series called Dayadet IHD-HD at the Mining Indonesia 2024 exhibition, at JIExpo, Jakarta, from 11 to 14 September 2024. At the exhibition, PT DAHANA’s GM General Mining Division 2 Abdul Haris Atbaro said that Dayadet IHD-HD is one of the company’s mainstay products in mining operations (12/9).

“This product (Dayadet IHD-HD) is highly reliable for various field conditions due to its high-powered capabilities, easy to use in field applications, and good safety standards. Up now, Dayadet IHD-HD has been applied to the NHM (Gold mine) mining project in North Maluku and KPC (Coal mine) in East Kalimantan,” said Mr Atbaro.

Non-electric detonators are detonation initiators using shock waves rather that electricity. The non-electric detonator system allows the blaster to control the exact delay time in the blasting sequence, thereby optimizing the blasting results and minimizing environmental impacts.

DAHANA’s Energetic Material Center (EMC) experts designed the Dayadet IHD-HD which can be customized according to consumer needs and field conditions. Apart from that, the Dayadet IHD-HD is also designed for use with various types of primary explosives.

Another advantage of the Dayadet Heavy Duties series is the fact that it has high tensile strength that can be used in large diameter and deep blast holes. This product is also claimed to be resistant to high temperature conditions up to 80 degrees Celsius, making the Dayadet IHD-HD very suitable for application in blast holes with Hot Ground conditions.

Mr Atbaro added that as the Indonesian explosives Company, DAHANA is committed to growing and developing with consumer needs. DAHANA’s innovators always strive to create products that can respond to the challenges of blasting in the field.

“Dayadet IHD-HD is the company’s commitment to consumer satisfaction, we always wish to be the solution and answer to the challenges of blasting in the field. We hope that with the various products, DAHANA can bring more benefits to consumers,” said Mr Atbaro.
