DAHANA’s Bonded Logistics Center (BLC) gained high trust from consumers of Oil and Gas drilling. DAHANA’s BLC is a storage station for imported explosives which is strategically located in Subang, West Java. This was disclosed by PT DAHANA’s Director of Operations, Yusep Nugraha R at the IPA Convex 2023 Exhibition which took place at ICE BSD Tangerang from July 25 to 27, 2023.
According to Mr Nugraha, the level of consumer confidence on BLC has reached 90%. With the presence of BLC, oil and gas and mining companies can save on their transportation costs. These savings originate from reduces costs during the process of importing and storing of imported raw explosives.
“DAHANA’s BLC has become the prima donna for consumers of explosives in the oil and gas and mining sectors since 2016 as evidenced by the high rent of BLC up to 90%, including by the three big drilling operator companies in Indonesia such as Halliburton, Schlumberger and Baker,” said Mr Nugraha. Apart from saving on transportation costs, customer can enjoy the advantage of DAHANA’s BLC from suspension of payment of explosives import taxes. Explosives that are stored in the BLC will have their import tax suspended until the goods are released and used by consumers.
“In the oil and gas sector, apart from serving BLC, DAHANA also provides Integrated Explosives services in the oil and gas sector, ranging from the construction and management of warehouses, permit arrangement, provision of explosives and accessories, handling and transportation, to the destruction of explosives,” explained Mr Nugraha.
New service innovations are the answer to DAHANA’s business expansion. Owing to its various experiences, at the beginning of 2019 DAHANA entered into the seismic survey preloading business for the first time in the Bentu Block. Seismic preloading is the work of inserting Dayagel seismic explosives into the shot-points in seismic surveys.
“Given the high demand for energy, DAHANA has started to engage in seismic preloading services, as was done in the Bentu Block, where DAHANA is entrusted with loading seismic explosives into drill holes,” concluded Mr Nugraha.
