PT DAHANA (Persero) won the 2021 Good Performance category at the 2021 Business Performance Excellence Award (BPEA) event organized by the BUMN Excellence Forum (FEB) in collaboration with LKBN Antara. This event was virtually held on Thursday, September 23, 2021.
The 2021 BPEA award is a gesture of appreciation to SOEs that have been working to manage an excellent business by establishing competitiveness by means of integration of various management systems to reach a certain level of excellence.
According to the Chairperson of the BPEA 2021 Committee, Firmanto Purdhy, the award is granted based on the SOE self-assessment through the Excellent Performance Assessment Criteria (KPKU) that had been implemented by participating SOEs in 2020.
DAHANA, as the mecca of explosives for Indonesia, participated in conducting an independent KPKU audit (self-assessment) in 2020. During that period, DAHANA’s KPKU score rose by 20.5 points with a final score of 477.75. This also has elevated DAHANA’s level to Good Performance compared to the previous year which only reached the Early Improvement level.
President Director of PT DAHANA (Persero), Wildan Widarman, expressed his gratitude to all DAHANA personnel who have worked well, been innovative, and referred their performance to the core values of AKHLAK, so that things like the KPKU audit could be carried out properly and received awards from the BUMN Excellence Forum.
“This 2021 BPEA award is one of the wonderful gifts for DAHANA’s 55th anniversary. But we will not stop here. Together with all of Dahana’s people, we will continue to improve our performance and management system and corporate governance. DAHANA, Be Excellent”, said Mr Widarman.
According to the General Chair of FEB, Agung Yunanto, SOEs still has two functions, namely as a profit-oriented state-owned company in the form of contribution of income to the state through taxes, dividends, and non-financial contributions, and as an institution that has an obligation to serve the public through the Social Responsibility Environment Program (TJSL), Public Service Agency (BLU), and other government programs mandated through the SOEs.
“Our vision is to become a trusted and leading strategic partner in building the competence of world-class companies, through KPKU standard formulation programs, training and excellent business consulting, as well as carrying out assessments and assessment recommendations for SOEs and the Ministry of SOEs,” said Mr Yunanto.
