The Dahana Mengajar program was held again as a testament to PT Dahana’s commitment to youth literacy. On Tuesday, November 25, 2025, Wibowo Budi Santoso, the Dahana’s Senior Manager of Logistics, delivered a presentation titled “Boom!!! How Dahana Builds the Nation through Blasting” at Dian Didaktika Islamic Junior High School in Depok.

Mr Santoso began the presentation by providing a brief history of the company. He explained how Dahana originated as a “Menang Project” in the 1960s and evolved into a national strategic company specializing in commercial and defense explosives.

“For decades, Dahana has actively participated in national development, contributing to projects ranging from mining to various National Strategic Projects. As a state-owned enterprise, we not only produce products but also support Indonesia’s economic growth,” said Mr Santoso.

He highlighted Dahana’s critical role in National Strategic Projects, such as constructing vital infrastructure, including dams, toll roads, and high-speed rail tunnels. Dahana utilizes safe, precise, and environmentally friendly blasting technology, ensuring that the benefits are directly felt by the community.

Mr Santoso also discussed Dahana’s diverse business lines, which include blasting services for the mining, construction, and quarrying sectors, as well as the oil and gas industry, and even military applications. Dahana’s products and services are utilized by consumers throughout Indonesia, and some of these products have gained recognition from mining companies abroad.

Additionally, Mr Santoso emphasized that Dahana is an innovative company that continually invests in research and development to better serve the nation. The Energetic Material Center (EMC) features the most comprehensive explosives facilities in Southeast Asia and acts as a platform for academics, practitioners, and students to collaborate on explosives innovation.

The Principal of Dian Didaktika Islamic Junior High School, H. Abdul Kodir, M.Pd., expressed his gratitude for Dahana’s engagement with the school. He believes that educational initiatives like this offer students valuable insights into the industrial world and highlight the importance of innovation in national development.
