PT Dahana recently held a Walimatus Safar event to bid farewell to high-achieving employees who would be performing the Umrah pilgrimage. The event, themed “Good Work, Sweet Rewards,” took place at the Mushola on the PT Dahana Campus in Subang on the afternoon of Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
In his remarks, Mohamad Nur Sodiq, the Director of Finance, Risk Management, and Human Resources at PT Dahana, officially sent off the pilgrims. He emphasized that this event was more than a ceremonial farewell; it was a tangible expression of the company’s appreciation for the dedication of its employees.
“The Religious Worship Program for High-Achieving Employees is a way for the company to recognize Dahana employees who demonstrate excellent performance, discipline, and significant contributions,” stated Mr Sodiq.
Mr Sodiq highlighted that the purpose of the Walimatus Safar transcends a simple farewell ceremony. It serves as a shared opportunity to pray for the safety, smooth journey, and blessings of the participants during their pilgrimage. The event was designed as a spiritual send-off to prepare the participants both physically and spiritually.
The participants departing for Umrah are recognized as this year’s outstanding employees, who are given the opportunity as a form of company appreciation. The Walimatus Safar activity is intended to inspire other employees to strive to become exemplary performers and contribute their best to Dahana.
Additionally, this program promotes inclusivity among all Company employees. For the outstanding non-Muslim employees in 2025, the company will provide awards through other programs with a value equivalent to the Umrah pilgrimage.
Mr Sodiq remarked that the Umrah is more than just a physical journey; it represents a spiritual journey toward Allah, a symbol of self-purification, and an enhancement of one’s quality of life. He expressed hopes that the employees departing for Umrah would conduct their worship meaningfully and emerge as better individuals.
“It is our hope that upon returning from the Holy Land, you will bring renewed enthusiasm, a stronger sense of integrity, and exemplary morals to the workplace. May this trip serve as a prayer and endeavor for PT Dahana to be increasingly blessed and to provide broader benefits,” he concluded.
Also present at the event were President Director Hary Irmawan, Echelon I officials, and other employees of PT Dahana Subang. The event included a sermon and a farewell prayer led by Drs. KH. Yusman El Makmur, MA, who offered spiritual guidance to prospective pilgrims and all attendees.
