Towards the end of 2019, PT DAHANA (Persero) again won the award for five years of hard work for being “a Very Good SOE for Five Consecutive Years” by the banking and financial analysis agency Infobank.
This award was presented at the 2019 Infobank’s Best State Owned Enterprise (SOE) event, which was held on Friday, 25 October 2019, Kempinski’s Grand Ballroom, Jakarta. Under the theme of “The Future and Challenges of SOEs as Development Agents” Eko B. Supriyanto Chief Director of Infobank hoped that SOEs will continue to be more advanced, competitive, and able to compete internationally. In his remarks, Eko encouraged SOEs to grow better and stronger by applying the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG).
“Today is Infobank’s 40th anniversary, and we congratulate the SOEs who have performed well over the past five years, we continue to encourage the SOEs to be much better. We are trying to assess with Good Corporate Governance (GCG) for making SOEs agile and able to compete in the global world, since these SOEs are the main pillars of companies in Indonesia, “said Eko B. Supriyanto
The event was then handed over to Giri Suprapdiono, Director of Education and Community Services of the KPK as the keynote speaker. In his lecture, Giri explained that Corruption Perception Index rose from 17 points in 1998 to 38 points. The increase is considered to be the best in the world. We also thank the SOEs who also continue to try to clean themselves.
“The progress of the Corruption Perception Index (IPK) is not only the achievement of the Commission for Eradication of Corruption (KPK), but also because the Indonesia’s Police are putting serious efforts in eradicating corruption so that SOEs continue to make sure they are cleaner and cleaner. We have to make sure that the profits earned SOEs are not to be spend for paying losses due to corruption. We need SOEs ProFit (Professional and Fit), “said Giri.
Then the awaited event was there. The awards were given; the company representatives enthusiastically went up on stage to receive awards. PT DAHANA (Persero) was no exception; the award was directly received by the President Director Budi Antono.
“In the past five years, DAHANA has been focused on financial ratios, from the aspect of income, profits, etc., that have all increased. This progress is due to DAHANA’s qualified, hard-working human resources, and compliance to the principles of Good Corporate Governance, “said Budi Antono.
After receiving the award, Budi shook hands with his colleagues, pictures were taken in front of the backdrop that the committee had provided.
