Dahana has received the Design Approval Type Certificate (TC) for the BNT-250 Bomb along with the Defense Production Facility Certificate from the Ministry of Defense’s Airworthiness Center (Puslaik Kemhan). The handover took place at the Puslaik Kemhan office on Friday, February 20.

The event was attended by Yusep Nugraha Rubani, Dahana’s Director of Technology & Development, along with company staff and officials from Puslaik Kemhan, including Air Marshal Catur Martowo Aji, M.Eng., the Head of Puslaik Kemhan, and Col. Tech. BRP Sianturi, MBA, the Head of Airworthiness, along with Airworthiness Officers.

The issuance of the Type Certificate for the BNT-250 Bomb signifies the completion of all necessary document and field verification stages, including design evaluation, technical analysis, and operational test witnessing. As a result of these evaluations, the BNT-250 bomb has been certified and is now ready for use by the Indonesian Air Force.

Additionally, Dahana has received a Defense Production Facility Certificate, which confirms that the company’s bomb production facilities comply with the airworthiness standards established by the Ministry of Defense’s Center for Advanced Defense (Puslaik Kemhan). This certification covers the production facilities for the P-Series bombs (P-100L, P-250L, P-500L) as well as the BNT-250 bomb. These certifications were obtained following thorough document reviews and field inspections, addressing equipment, human resources, safety, and other supporting systems.

Mr Rubani stated that this certification illustrates the company’s commitment to supporting national defense requirements. “This certification confirms that the BNT-250 bomb and PT Dahana’s production facilities have met the airworthiness standards outlined by the Ministry of Defense. PT Dahana is prepared to support mass production to fulfill the needs of national defense equipment, particularly for the Indonesian Air Force,” said Mr Rubani.

The production facility certification is part of the annual periodic certification process carried out by the Ministry of Defense’s Center for Advanced Materials and Technology (Puslaik) to ensure that defense production facilities meet quality and safety standards.

Through this achievement, Dahana reaffirms its commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and production readiness to support the independence of the national defense industry.
