PT Dahana, through its Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) unit, delivered business facility assistance in the form of an overlock machine to Suryadi, person with a disability, on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. The handover was made as a form of the Company’s support in empowering and improving the economic well-being of vulnerable groups.
PT Dahana’s SER Manager, Neni Sumarni, representing management, stated that this program is part of the company’s commitment to enhancing the community’s capacity, particularly among people with disabilities, to achieve economic independence.
“One of our focuses in the TJSL program is community capacity building. This aid is expected to strengthen Mr Suryadi’s home business, while also encouraging productivity and business sustainability for people with disabilities,” said Neni.
She added that this program also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 8, the Economic Pillar of “Decent Work and Economic Growth.”
“Through assistance like overlock machines, we hope that people with disabilities can have greater access to business opportunities and play an active role as independent, equal economic actors,” added Ms Sumarni.
Mr Suryadi, the recipient of the assistance, expressed his gratitude for PT Dahana’s supportMr. He said the overlock machine was much needed to improve the quality and production capacity of the sewing business he runs from home.
“This aid means a lot to me. This overlock machine is very important to support my work. Thank you to PT Dahana for their attention. May Dahana continue to be successful and bring benefit the community,” said Mr Suryadi.
