PT DAHANA (Persero) continues to actively delivers partnership program for MSMEs during the Covid-19 pandemic. Assistance in the form of soft loans and training programs was given to the fostered partners to help them survive during the pandemic. One of them is Caryadi, a culinary MSME actor in Subang Regency.
Following the Covid-19 outbreak, some MSME entrepreneurs failed to run their business in an optimum way and as a result many of the MSME entrepreneurs were not able to meet their basic needs. Despite the fact that the Government has the to provide assistance, still active role of all groups is needed to restore the economy.
Reflecting on this, PT DAHANA (Persero) as one of the SOEs engaged in manufacture of explosives is committed to playing an active role in helping MSMEs to survive through a partnership program. This was elaborated by the Chairperson of PT DAHANA (Persero) Partnership Program Eman Suherman on Thursday, June 25, 2020 at the Dahana Campus. He mentioned that the partnership program is a program in which MSME entrepreneurs or independent small entrepreneurs are partnered with fostered partners and make assistance available in the form of soft loans and others.
“To become a fostered partner, an entrepreneur has to have run their business for at least 6 months with a turnover as specified in the related MSME category. The size of the loan will be adjusted to the participant’s ability to pay to make sure that they can manage the loan for the sake of their own benefit,” said Eman Suherman.
Eman continued that during the Covid-19 pandemic and entering the New Normal period launched by the government, PT DAHANA (Persero) continued to help their fostered MSME doers to be able to progress and develop. This, one of which, has been done in the form of related training for PT DAHANA’s fostered partners ( Persero).
One of the SMEs who has benefited as a partner of PT DAHANA (Persero) is Caryadi, one of the culinary SMEs in the Subang District.
“As the Corona virus broke out, the sales turnover of my grilled chicken dropped dramatically to 50% so that my daily income automatically declined. This simply threatened the sustainability of my business,” explained Caryadi.
Amidst of the economic hard time caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, Caryadi admitted that he was greatly helped by registering his business as a partner of PT DAHANA (Persero). He received assistance in the form of soft loans which he used as additional capital so that his business of soft-roasted chicken could survive in the midst of economic difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
“There are a couple of benefits I get after joining PT DAHANA’s fostered partners. In addition to capital loan assistance, they also receive training and counseling to maintain and develop businesses,” said Caryadi. (rmt)
