Destruction of explosives or disposal is one of the business units of PT DAHANA (Persero). Disposal activities are carried out on explosives which have expired or are not used due to failure in the field. This activity is also intended to meet the safety and security standards.
“The purpose of this disposal is to help consumers, both operators and K3S in removing explosives that have been damaged or cannot be used again,” Rikson Manulang explained.
The Customer Relations Supervisor of the Oil & Gas Division of PT DAHANA (Persero) explained that the destruction of explosives also aims to reduce consumer risk in maintaining junk explosives and the addition of space in warehouses that can be used for storing new explosives.
“The destroyed explosives were the ones used in the exploration and exploitation of oil and gas and non-electronic explosives used in general mining and construction quarries,” he added.
