PT Dahana has distributed humanitarian aid to communities affected by recent floods in Aceh Province. This initiative was carried out by employees from the SBA Jobsite in collaboration with PT Solusi Bangun Andalas (SBA), PT MAK, and PT Supra over three days, from December 7 to 9, 2025. The aid targeted areas significantly impacted, including Lhokseumawe, North Aceh, and Aceh Tamiang.

Hary Irmawan, PT Dahana’s President Director, expressed his heartfelt condolences to those affected by the flood disaster that struck several regions in Sumatra, particularly Aceh. He emphasized that this tragedy underscored the humanitarian duty of the company to actively support the community.

“We express our deepest condolences for the flood disaster that has impacted our brothers and sisters in Aceh. The aid we are distributing in collaboration with PT SBA, PT MAK, and PT Supra is our effort to support the community as they recover from this challenging situation. We hope this assistance will bring some comfort to the victims,” said Mr Irmawan.

As reported, devastating floods and landslides struck Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra from late November to early December 2025, resulting in significant damage, including over 900 fatalities and hundreds of people missing. Homes, public facilities, and vital infrastructure such as bridges were severely affected.

The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) reported that, as of December 8, 2025, the number of displaced persons in Aceh Province had reached 1,057,482. In response to this emergency, the Dahana SBA site team promptly moved to Ujong Pacu Village, Lhokseumawe Regency, to deliver urgent assistance to residents.

On December 8, 2025, Dahana and its partners continued their efforts in Langkahan District, North Aceh Regency. In this area, flooding had devastated most of the residential regions, forcing residents to evacuate. The team was warmly welcomed by those who had been waiting for assistance.

The peak of the aid distribution occurred on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, focusing on Aceh Tamiang Regency, the hardest-hit area. There, the joint team from Dahana, SBA, PT MAK, and PT Supra had to navigate challenging terrain to ensure supplies reached isolated residents.

Mr Irmawan reiterated that this disaster serves as an important lesson in the value of mutual aid within the community. He also commended the SBA site employees for their proactive involvement in the planning and distribution of aid to those in need.

“We, the management, express our respect and appreciation to our fellow Dahana employees at the SBA project site who have participated in the distribution of aid, as well as to all employees who have donated their resources to support the victims. Our prayers are with the people of Aceh, wishing them strength and resilience to overcome this trial,” concluded Mr Irmawan.
