PT Dahana provided humanitarian aid, including food and baby supplies, to casualties of natural disasters in West Sumatra. The aid was received at the BNPB Command Post, located at the official residence of the Agam Regent in Lubuk Basung, Agam Regency, West Sumatra, on Monday, December 1, 2025.
Ryan Noverie Pasoreh, General Manager of Dahana’s Quarry and Construction Division, stated that the aid delivery was the company’s rapid response to the emergency situation affecting the people of West Sumatra. He emphasized that Dahana is committed to being present in communities in need, particularly during times of disaster. Coordination with the local government was carried out to ensure that the aid reached its intended recipients.
“On behalf of the management and all employees of PT Dahana, we express our deepest condolences for the tragedy that has befallen our brothers and sisters in Sumatra. We acknowledge the seriousness of this situation, and our presence here aims to provide both moral and material support, ensuring that residents do not feel alone during this difficult time,” said Mr Pasoreh
Sumatra region has been struck by a hydrometeorological disaster due to heavy rainfall that persisted over several days. This extreme weather triggered flash floods and landslides in crucial areas, with Agam Regency being one of the most severely affected. Road access was temporarily cut off, and residents’ daily activities were completely paralyzed.
The disaster resulted in damage to public infrastructure, agricultural land, and residential areas. Hundreds of families were forced to evacuate to safer locations as their homes were submerged or threatened by landslides.
The aid provided by Dahana included rice, instant noodles, mineral water, cooking oil, eggs, and baby diapers. Additionally, the company dispatched an employee from the PT Semen Padang project site, Nanjar Nuryana, to assist as a rescuer.
Mr Pasoreh also highlighted that mutual assistance is a hallmark of Indonesian society. He encouraged all citizens to become involved in helping the disaster victims in Sumatra and expressed his prayers for a swift recovery.
“Hopefully, this assistance will alleviate the burden on our affected brothers and sisters. We wish for improved conditions, with the waters receding, and we pray that the disaster victims find the fortitude and strength to rebuild their lives after this calamity,” Mr Pasoreh concluded.
