Dahana got a final score of 477.75, which means Dahana’s level goes up to the Good Performance level after the previous year  which was only at the Early Improvement level.

This information serves an update on the results of KPKU audit closing meeting which was held virtually on Friday, 18 December 2020. The event was attended by all business processes, including the Director of Finance and HR Asmorohadi, who officially closed the self-assessment event. Previously, the opening meeting on December 14, 2020 was opened by the Director of Technology & Development Wildan Widarman.

KPKU is a method for measuring and assessing the company’s  performance and serves as a guide for developing, managing and empowering company systems and resources to achieve excellent performance. The KPKU method is refined method of the original method known as Malcolm Baldrige (K3MB), or Malcolm Baldrige Criteria for Performance Excellence (MBCFPE), which is an assessment system for corporate business excellence developed in America and used by various companies in the world.

KPKU is designed for a holistic assessment and a tool to measure the company’s position and determine what the companies need to evaluate to improve their future performance in the long term to assure that the companies  are aware of their internal and external problems in comparison to the competitors. Assessment aspects include leadership, strategic planning, customer focus, measurement, analysis, knowledge management, workforce focus, operations focus, results, and others.

DAHANA started implementing KPKU assessment in 2015 both by external and internal self-assessments.

“The aspects  which are assessed are of course comprehensive. Starting from the aspects of finance, markets, labor, innovation and others. Talking about results of assessment, of course there are several opportunities and challenges, for example issues related to the company’s future strategy in order to increase independence for raw materials by building an Ammonium Nitrate Factory, or how to get new customers and build markets. There are also some things that need to be improved, such as how to build labor engagement, ”said Holly Alifiah, Head of Internal Audit Unit of PT DAHANA (Persero).

Holly also explained that, prior to the audit process, DAHANA had conducted an on-desk assessment or audit preparation which from 12 to 13 December 2020, and would provide  a feed back report not later than four days after the close meeting was held. The SOEs’ Ministry Forum of Excellence appreciates DAHANA’s consistency in the implementation of the KPKU assessment so that it can be carried out properly and by obtaining an increase in score on the same time.

“Increased score means improvements in many indicators, especially in the aspects of governance and social responsibility, strategic development, improving company performance, workforce environment, work processes, labor engagement, product and process performance, customer focus performance, workforce focus performance. , leadership and governance performance, financial and market performance, ”explained Holly Alifiah.
