Commemorating the National OSH Month
The National OSH Month is the month dedicated by the government to campaign the Occupational Safety Health (OSH) movement which is usually commemorated from January 12 to February 12. This OSH Month Commencement has been ratified.
A couple of activities were organized to boost up the National OSH activities, just like the one held by state-owned explosives company, PT DAHANA (Persero). On Thursday, February 28, 2019, National K3 activities were given a unique way.
K3LH Energetic Material Center (EMC) DAHANA, invited employees from various work units to participate in OSH Fun Games activities; game activities with a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
Each work unit sent 2 representatives to participate in ‘OSH knowledge contest’. There were 20 work units participating in this activity. In the first round they had to work hard for the Ranking game. Six groups with the highest score were qualified to go the next round to scramble towards the top 3.
This game turned out to make the atmosphere more lively. Participants’ acts and answers triggered laughter from the audience. Participants and spectators were reminded of OSH knowledge by means of the games and fun activities they enjoyed.
Danny Armeidian, the National OSH Month executive committee of PT DAHANA (Persero) expressed that the activities were part of socialization of the National OSH Month program which reminded DAHANA workers to always cultivate OSH in their work.
“OSH is very important, so it must always be kept in mind. In the industrial world such as DAHANA, workers should not only have productivity in minds, but also better implementation of occupational safety and health. When the OSH program runs well, productivity will increase,” Danny said
This year the National OSH Month activity was under the theme “Realizing the independence of the Indonesian society with a culture of occupational safety and health OSH to support national economic stability”.
