Commander of the III/Siliwangi Provincial Military Commander, Major General Kunto Arief Wibowo and his entourage visited the DAHANA Central Management Office which is a National Vital Object in Cibogo District, Subang Regency, West Java. The visit of was welcomed by the President Director of DAHANA, Wildan Widarman who was accompanied by the Director of Technology & Development Suhendra Yusuf RPN, Director of Finance, MR and HR Ahyanizzaman on Tuesday, 12 July 2022.
In his remarks, Mr Widarman expressed his gratitude and respect to the Commander for the visit. According to Mr Widarman, DAHANA and the Indonesian Army have very close relations. DAHANA is incorporated with DEFEND ID as the holding of the Defense Industry SOEs, while DAHANA area is included in the National Vital Object.
“Welcome, Mr. Commander. It is an honor for us to have the of Siliwangi Provincial Military Commander and his staff. DAHANA has close relations with the Indonesian Army, and DAHANA itself was born from the womb of the Indonesian Air Force through the Win project. It was initially based in Tasikmalaya, but due to development demands, in August 2012, DAHANA’s Head Office officially moved to Subang,” said Mr Widarman.
As part of the defense industry, DAHANA also manufacture products used by all part of the Indonesian defense force. Working in collaboration with PUSSENIF TNI (Indonesian Army’s Centre for Infant Weaponry), DAHANA is developing Counter-Tank Weapons, and also developing missile products to deal with air attacks such as planes and helicopters. Besides, DAHANA has been manufacturing various military products such as Bomb P Series and Defense Rockets.
In view of the National Vital Object, DAHANA has various high explosive factories, such as cartridge emulsion, detonator, DANFO, and so on. Mr Widarman also explained the advantages of DAHANA’s Non-Electric Detonator product, which is very safe. Apart from that, to meet the need for munitions, DAHANA is also constructing an explosives raw material factory in the form of Ammonium Nitrate with a production capacity of 75,000 tons in Bontang, East Kalimantan.
During his visit, the Commander said that his visit to DAHANA was for the purpose of data collection, as, there are many National Vital Objects in West Jawa, where communication lines, transportation routes, and operational routes are quite high.
“At least, my visit and my entourage can provide a deterrent effect to help prevent people from undertaking bad intention in anticipation to the political year as well as other national and international issues,” said Commander Arief.
Commander Arief also explained that his organization has an operational unit for performing the function of defusing explosives, a unit which is in charge of nuclear, radiology, and chemistry, as well as a unit in charge of electronics defense. The visit is also expected to strengthen cooperation between the Indonesian Army and the defense industry, especially those in the West Java area.
