PT DAHANA (Persero) has strengthened its commitment to supporting the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles through an Executive Sharing Session held at the PT Bukit Asam (Persero) site in Tanjung Enim on October 5, 2026. Centered on the theme “Creating Shared ESG Value in Mining Operations through Responsible Blasting, Circular Innovation, and Decarbonisation,” the event brought together representatives from both DAHANA and PT Bukit Asam (Persero), featuring an ESG practitioner as a guest speaker.

The Executive Sharing Session aimed to deepen the understanding and application of ESG within mining operations—specifically regarding decarbonization, the contribution of blasting activities and explosives supply toward corporate sustainability targets, and the enhancement of collaboration between DAHANA and its customers.

Sudirjo Heru K, Senior Manager of Management Systems at PT DAHANA (Persero), emphasized that ESG considerations must be integrated into every operational activity, including blasting services and the provision of explosives for the mining industry.

“ESG aspects are vital for fostering responsible and sustainable mining operations, which aligns with the company’s core principles and commitments. Through this initiative, we aim to strengthen collaboration and synergy between DAHANA and our customers in implementing ESG practices on-site,” said Sudirjo.

PT DAHANA remains committed to advancing ESG implementation through responsible blasting practices, the development of circular innovations for on-site waste management, and the adoption of decarbonization measures to support the achievement of Net Zero Emissions targets. Furthermore, DAHANA strives to create shared value—prioritizing sustainability, operational efficiency, and environmental and social responsibility within the mining sector. “The strengthening of ESG aspects must be continuously enhanced within the company’s operational activities; this sharing session is expected to bolster both understanding and proper implementation in the field,” concluded Junir Ardony, Mining Support Department Head at PT Bukit Asam (Persero).
