PT DAHANA (Persero) Corporate Secretary Bayu Anggoro handed an inflatable boat to the Head of the Subang Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), Udin Jazudin. The handover was held during the morning roll call on Friday, December 24, 2021 at the Subang BPBD Office.

Mr Anggoro said in his speech that  Subang Regency is frequently hit by flood during the rainy season or when the sea level rises and therefore, it is necessary to get additional facility such as the inflatable boat to assist humanitarian workers in evacuating casualties during floods.

“This donation is a form of DAHANA’s concern for the people of Subang, in hoping that the inflatable boat can help humanitarian forces in carrying out humanitarian missions,” said Mr Anggoro.

Meanwhile, according to Mr Jazudin, the contour of the Subang area which is characterized by mountains, rivers, and the sea have the potential to cause several natural disasters such as landslides, flash floods, tidal floods and others.

“This inflatable boat is certainly very useful for our team in carrying out humanitarian missions,” said Mr Jazudin.

Records suggest that in the past few years, there have been floods in low-lying areas and tidal floods on the North Coast of Subang which left the residents with damages or loss to their houses and difficulties to public facilities.

Mr Anggoro who was accompanied by the Head of DAHANA’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) Eman Suherman also stated that DAHANA is ready to help casualties of disasters that often hit Subang.

“As a state-owned company engaged in the explosives industry, we have tried to always be there to provide assistance when disasters hit the people of Subang, and we are committed to continuing to support humanitarian actions in rescuing Subang residents from disasters,” concluded Mr Anggoro.
