The Director of Finance and HR, Susilo Hertanto along with the Director of Technology & Development, Heri Heriswan visited a vocational school in Subang. Both unexpectedly went to SMK Cibogo which was located at the eastern area of PT DAHANA (Persero)’s Energetic Material Center (EMC) in Cibogo, Subang.
The intention of their visit on Wednesday, June 2, 2014 to the rather far SMKN 2 Subang was to observe the school’s condition and provide support towards the school in order for them to develop the education there.
Although currently in the middle of holiday, the school which was the pride of the people in Cibogo was still packed with students undergoing industrial practice at school.
Head of SMKN 2 Subang, Ardi Mulyono admitted that he had not expected the school to be visited by PT DAHANA’s official.
“We were surprised to be visited by Dahana’s officials without any prior notice. Moreover, it is currently in the middle of the school’s holiday,” he explained.
Ardi further said that both the directors planned to help the school by building fences around the school and laying paving blocks for the school’s yard.
“The Directors wanted our school to be a pilot school and the best school. That’s why they wanted to help us build the fences and put paving blocks for our school,” said Ardi Mulyono to DFile.
During their visit, both of Dahana’s Directors had a chance to go on a brief tour around the school’s buildings, including classrooms and also practice and production rooms. They also stopped by to say hello to the students who were currently undergoing practice at school.
Specifically, Susilo Hertanto motivated the students and told them the phenomenal story at that time, which was about the determination of a pedicab’s daughter who successfully completed her education and finally received a scholarship to continue her study abroad.
“Nothing is impossible right now, success can be achieved by anybody, as long as he/she really keeps striving and learning,” he emphasized. (SYA)
