CIANJUR – PT DAHANA handed over aid to earthquake casualties in Cianjur Regency. The Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) Team provided assistance to DAHANA’s affected families and community through the West Java Provincial BUMN Task Force Post on Wednesday 23 November 2022.

The Head of DAHANA’s SER unit, Eman Suherman said, several members of DAHANA’sa employee’s families of DAHANA employees have been affected by the Cianjur earthquake. Therefore, the priority for assistance is given to employees’ families by sending the supplies directly to the  family’s addresses, while the rest is supplied to the community through the SOEs Task Force Station.

“As a state-owned company, DAHANA really cares about the community, especially those affected by disasters. The assistance provided by DAHANA is comes in the form of medicines, instant food, baby diapers, biscuits, groceries and folding mattresses,” said Mr Suherman.

The earthquake hit Cianjur area on Monday, November 21, 2022 at 13.21 Western Indonesia Time. National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB), up to the present,  has recorded that the death toll 0f 268 from the earthquake; 122 bodies have been identified, 151 people are still missing, and 1,083 injured.

Meanwhile, tens of thousands of houses were also damaged. On the other hand, aftershocks also traumatized and worried residents. To help ease the burden of the disaster casualties, aids continue to arrive in the form of health care assistance, food supplies, temporary housing, and others.

Mr Suherman hoped that the earthquake casualties can immediately get help, and be given patience and fortitude in facing the unexpected disasters.

“Hopefully PT DAHANA’s assistance can ease the burden on the casualties, and hopefully the disaster will be resolved soon,” hoped Mr Suherman
