In observance of Eid al-Adha 1442 AH, the Al Akhdar Mosque Prosperity Council (DKM) as one of the units at PT DAHANA (Persero), delivered sacrificial animals to the community around the company. During the handover of the sacrificial animals  event on Monday, July 19, 2021, two cows and 15 sheep were donated to several villages around the company and stakeholders in the DAHANA Campus in Subang.

DKM Al Akhdar slaughtered two cows on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. So far, DAHANA has managed to deliver sacrificial animals to Sadawarna Village, where each greater neighborhood unit (Rukun Warga) in the village gets one sheep. Apart from Sadawarna Village, DAHANA also donated sheep to Limaratus Village.

According to Akhryan Eka Putra, the Chair of the Committee from Al Akhdar DKM,  every year Al Akhdar DKM carries out sacrifices as a form of  worship and in order to share with the community, especially those around the DAHANA Campus.

“We hope that everyone in the community enjoys the sacrifice festival. DAHANA never fails to share with the community in spite of the difficult times due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and hopefully this sacrifice can also keep DAHANA stable. We also hope that the animal sacrifice program will always be done by DAHANA to engage the community and continue to be implemented in the forthcoming years,” said Akhryan.

The momentum of Eid al-Adha 2021 is a holiday with sorrowful atmosphere due to the prolonged pandemic. Akhryan also explained that this year’s Eid al-Adha search for sacrificial animals has been done in some extent of restriction as to help prevent possible wider transmission of Covid-19. The entire activity has been done in strict health protocols in the organization of this year.

“It is necessary for us to remain clear-headed and look for the best and easiest way according to applicable regulations, and implement health protocols in any activity including the organization of sacrifices. This is an effort to make sure we can conveniently celebrate the Eid-al-Adha while protecting ourselves families from Covid-19 transmission,” he added.

The distribution of sacrificial animals is intended to help the community get nutritious food, especially for people affected by Covid-19 who have difficulty getting good food. It is DAHANA’s wishes to be able to improve the company’s relationship with the surrounding community during this pandemic.
