To help enrich teaching aids for educational purposes, PT DAHANA (Persero) donated a explosives dummies to the Faculty of Engineering, Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh on Monday, December 27, 2021.

 

This event was part of a series of Quarry Day 2021 agendas organized by PT Solusi Bangun Andalas (SBA) Plant Lhoknga, a cement company in Aceh Province. The donation was received directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ir. Alfiansyah Yulianur BC and Head of Mining Engineering Study Program Ir. Pocut Nurul Alam M.T.

 

According to Edi Kusnadi, a representative from DAHANA, the dummy donation is an effort by DAHANA to strengthen the company’s external relations with educational institutions in the location where the DAHANA project is operating. In addition, it is also an effort to help advance the world of education in Indonesia.

 

“It is our hope that this explosives dummy donation serves as means of introduction, understanding, and education about explosives for students, especially the Mining Engineering major,” said Mr Kusnadi.

 

Edi continued, as a state-owned company engaged in the explosives industry, the Company wished that this dummy award can provide more enthusiasm for students to learn and innovate about explosives, because Indonesia, through DAHANA’s Energetic Material Center (EMC), has been able to produce explosives independently and continuously innovate.

 

The explosives dummies donated to the university, among others, are non-electric detonators (surface delay and in-hole delay), Booster 200 gr and 400 gr, Dawagel, Danfo, Emulsion, Dayagel Extra diameter 26 mm and 50 mm, and Lead in Line (LIL). ).

 

On that occasion, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Syiah Kuala University appreciated DAHANA for the dummies of products, and he hoped that, benefitting from the dummies, students could get introduced and and understand what explosive materials are.
