The attack of Covid-19 has left detrimental impacts in various sectors, one of which was the economic sector. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have been experiencing extent of economic crisis. To help with the economic recovery, especially the economy of MSME actors with disabilities, PT DAHANA (Persero) provided assistance through its Environmental Social Responsibility (ESR) program for MSME actors with disabilities in Subang Regency on Wednesday, June 16, 2021.

 

Eman Suherman, the head of DAHANA’s ESR team, said that this DAHANA delivered related assistance for two MSME actors with disabilities in Subang Regency in the form of a multi-function sewing machine and a sausage grill unit.

 

Eman also said that DAHANA would continue to support MSME players to survive in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic to make sure that that their business can run uninterrupted through several programs. Apart from provision of assistance in business capital, DAHANA’s ESR team also conducted training programs for MSME players  to help their business  develop by means of coaching on several innovations.

 

“DAHANA strives to support MSMEs to improve their product quality and marketing by expanding collaboration with various parties and holding regular online training and discussions to help maintain MSME productivity,” explained Eman.

 

Tusawara, one of the recipients of the multifunctional sewing machine, was grateful for DAHANA’s assistance for upgrade of his sewing equipment for his business. He said that since the Covid-19 pandemic hit, his orders dropped significantly. He hoped that the tailor business that he started in 1983 can continue to survive.

 

The same thing was also conveyed by Rizki Subagja, the recipient of the sausage grilling tool. “With the help I received from DAHANA, I will restart selling grilled sausages in the new location of the Special School for The Disabled where I studied,” concluded Rizki Subagja. (rmt)
