SUBANG – In order to help support Indonesia’s ideals for improvement of the nation’s life, PT DAHANA supplied desks, chairs, and whiteboards to Karang Sari State Elementary School in Cibogo, Timur Jaya State Elementary School in Pada Asih, and Setia Jaya State Elementary School in  Wanasari, Subang Regency. The handover was done simultaneously on Monday, August 15, 2022.

Head of DAHANA’s Social and Environmental Responsibility (SER) unit, Eman Suherman, said that the assistance for educational facilities is the Company’s commitment to support the education process, especially those around the company.

“This educational facility assistance is an implementation of DAHANA’s SER priority program in support to the education around the Company. DAHANA’s SER does not only perform by orders, but independently implements programs in accordance with the needs of the community,” said Mr Suherman.

As is known, several schools in Subang Regency have shortcomings in facilities and infrastructure; some students are forced to study in improper conditions, some have to study at school without desks and chairs which leads to learning concentration and physical fatigue issues.  

Mr Suherman also pointed out that added the schools receiving DAHANA’s SER assistance found the charity very helpful as it can help improve the teaching and learning process in schools, in the midst of limited government funds and long bureaucratic process.

“Hopefully the educational facilities from DAHANA can be utilized in an optimum way can elevate the kids’ enthusiasm in achieve their goals,” said Mr Suherman.

Mr Suherman also explained that the educational facility assistance provided to schools around the Company are products purchased from DAHANA’s Micro Small Business partners through the digital market application (PADI). Such scheme is expected to give the multiple effects; on one hand, DAHANA helps educational facilities, on the other hand, it allows absorption of products of MSE fostered partners that can increase the economic value of such fostered partners.
