Subang, July 4, 2013 – PT Dahana (Persero) held a bazaar for the “2013 Dahana Cares” event. Taking place at three locations, namely the villages of Sadawarna, Sumur Barang and Cibalandong, Dahana distributed 1,000 packages of basic groceries.

The “2013 Dahana Cares” program was a form of Dahana’s awareness towards the surrounding people entitled the Temporary Financial Aid (BLSM). According to Susilo Hertanto, PT Dahana (Persero)’ Finance & HR Director, Dahana provided and distributed a total of 1,000 units of grocery packages. “100% of the fund came from Dahana’s own budget, ” said Susilo Hertanto.

At the event Dahana distributed 3 kinds of groceries, i.e. 8 kg of rice, 1 kg of sugar and 1 L of frying oil. Each grocery package was worth IDR 100,000.00, but was only valued IDR 20,000.00 when sold to the people of the 3 surrounding villages.

The event was among one of the many annually held community development programs from PT Dahana (Persero)’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) unit. The “2013 DAHANA CARES” program was expected to help relieve the burden of people living in the surrounding area due to the increase of grocery prices since the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
