Upon concern on the need of environmental sanitation facilities, PT DAHANA (Persero) through a special unit of Community Development and Partnership Program, in collaboration with the Subang Regency government handed over assistance in the form of handwashing facilities for bendors in the Subang Foodcourt Market. 

The charity was handed over directly by the Chairman of PT DAHANA (Persero)’s Community Development and Partnership Program Eman Suherman accompanied by PT DAHANA (Persero) Assistant Public Relations Manager Neni Sumarni on Monday, April 6, 2020. The charity was received by the Head of Infrastructure & Spatial Planning of BP4D, Subang District, Dewi Lestari.

Eman Suherman explained, the provided handwashing facilities are a form of PT DAHANA (Persero) ‘s concern for public health and environmental conditions. “Especially during the current outbreak of Pandemic Covid-19, so we, DAHANA would like to teach the public to always maintain cleanliness to avoid getting easily infected by viruses. Washinh hands thoroughly is one of them. So we prepare handwashing facilities for vendors in the Food Court Market, “explained Eman Suherman.

Speaking during the handover event, Dewi Lestari, the Head of Infrastructure & Spatial BP4D of Subang Regency hoped that with the help of handwashing facilities from PT DAHANA (Persero), the public, especially vendors in the Foodcourt marke will be more aware of maintaining personal hygiene diligently by washing their hands. “Hopefully this effort can minimize the spread of Covid-19,” hoped Dewi.

Yanto, One of the fish venndord in Forodcourt Market, expressed his gratitude to PT DAHANA (Persero) for providing proper hand washing facilities for vendors in the Foodcourt market. “We, vendors, normally have to go to the toilet to wash our hands. With this new hand washing facility, we find it helpful and more convenient as we don’t have to go too far just to wash their hands, ”said Yanto.

In addition to providing assistance in the form of hand washing facilities, PT DAHANA (Persero) also distributed free masks to vendors and visitors to reduce the spread of Covid-19 in Subang Regency. (rmt)
