BANDUNG – The Governor of West Java Ridwan Kamil handed over “West Java CSR Partner Company” during the West Java 2022 CSR Forum activities. The activity which was held by the West Java Provincial Government took place in a hybrid manner–through online and offline meetings–at the Grand Ballroom Trans Luxury Hotel, in Bandung, on December 22, 2022.
In the activity themed “Corporate SER Synergy to Accelerate the Achievement of West Java SDGs”, Governor Kamil expressed his appreciation to all companies that are members of the West Java CSR Forum for having succeeded in increasing the value of CSR in 2022.
“I am very proud and grateful as the statistics (for CSR activities) showed an increase of IDR 150 billion. I know there is trillions of CSR fund circulating in West Java; it just hasn’t been concentrated in this (CSR) forum,” said Mr Kamil.
Kang Emil, as he is popularly called, conveyed priority issues that could be worked on by the West Java CSR Forum in 2023, including increasing human resources, eradicating stunting, attempting green economy, and transforming the capacity of state administrators. He also described environmental problems in West Java, such as global warming which also destroyed 700 hectares of land in West Java.
He also pointed out that West Java needs millions of mangrove trees to be planted along the North Coast of West Java in order to reduce the impact of abrasion. He also reported that to date, the West Java CSR Forum has contributed 60 million mangrove trees.
The President Director of PT DAHANA, Wildan Widarman welcomed the award from the West Java Provincial Government. Mr Widarman said that this award proves that DAHANA’s performance does not only give benefits the company, but also has an impact on the society.
“As part of West Java’s CSR partners, DAHANA through its Social and Environment Responsibility activities can be increasingly recognized and transparently perceived by the community. Right now DAHANA is reporting its CSR activities through an application prepared by the West Java CSR Forum,” said Mr Widarman.
Mr Widarman added that the West Java CSR Forum can be used as a reference for all parties in collaboration work to meet community needs. The right and properly targeted programs have a major impact on the progress of society, in terms of human resources, health, education, and the economy.
