Youth Explosive, DAHANA’s group for the millennial, attended Greenfest 2019 held by Ministry of State-owned Enterprise through PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. And PT Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company (Persero), at Jakarta Convention Center, 31 January 2019.
President Joko Widodo and Minister of State-Owned Enterprise Rini Soemarno also attended the event which was meant to involve the millennial as to encourage the latter to grow their concern towards the environment. The millennial are also expected to start contributing by giving ideas and motivation in agriculture in Indonesia.
“The government, through the Ministry of State-owned Enterprise wishes to trigger to youth to go back to their hometown with their knowledge, technology, application and the media –millennial farmers—order to help develop in regional agriculture,” said Safira Aulia Rinanda from Youth Explosive.
Safira added that millennial farming can be developed into local product business with quality produce which may be globally exported. Marketing for such products has been available through tanihub, tanijoy, sayur box and other platforms lainnya.
The events of Greenfest 2019 were organized in such a way that all of the participants got the benefit from the whole events, one of which was the discussion of State-owned Enterprise’s role for the green movement and greenovation which consists of concepts of agricultural development, financing, and growth.
“It is our hope that the young generation can contribute to the green movement activities by means of undertaking small effort such as having their own shopping bags, drinking bottle and actively taking part in environment care groups,” she added.
DAHANA sent its millennial representatives to the Greenfest 2019 events. They were : Ika, Prima, Irfan, Rizki, Safira, Josua, Fikri, and Amarilis.
